ازهل يا الامير
My Prince, it will be done
Hazim is an old, young friend. We met at King Abdulaziz University when he was an undergraduate in the university's School of Business. By the time I left Saudi Arabia in the spring of 2015 he had already graduated with an M.A. degree in marketing.
Our friendship began as an exchange of language for culture. I helped him with his mastery of the English language, and he helped me to understand Saudi culture.
Most of our time together was spent at Jeddah's Hilton Hotel where we drank coffee together into the wee hours of the morning. We also frequented Vera Pizza. It is with Hazim that I fished and snorkeled in the Red Sea and paid my first visit to a place that I would never have gone alone -- a Saudi resort for foreign residents.
Hazim is both serious and funny, and he knows how to separate work from play. While I was struggling with homelessness in the United States, Hazim rose to the rank of captain in the Saudi police force. Hopefully I can help him to rise much higher, as he helps me to expand Grammar Captive across Saudi Arabia.
We are now active together on SnapChat.
