Teacher Statistics 2001. Table 2.4 Number of kindergarten teachers
by rank and sector, Table 2.9 Number of kindergarten teachers
by training and sector, and Table 2.11 Distribution of kindergarten
teachers by rank, session, sector, and training, and Table 2.14
Distribution of kindergarten teachers by training, qualification,
and sector. |
Notes: |
* |
Though distinction
was made between trained and untrained personnel for principals
and teachers separately, separate information about qualifications
for teachers and principals was not. Thus, for each of the two
categories Qualified Teacher and Qualified Assistant Teacher
a percentage of the total number of principals and teachers who
are teachers was assigned. Hence the decimal fractions. |
|
** |
In order to obtain appropriate
figures for the two categories Qualified Teacher and Qualified
Assistant Teacher it was necessary to calculate the percentage
of each that fall into the category trained. |
|
*** |
Full-time equivalents were found
by dividing the number of personnel working half-days by two
and adding them to the number working two half-days. |
|
**** |
Estimated monthly expenditure
was found by multiplying the midpoint of each salary range times
the number of full-time equivalents. |
|
***** |
Estimated annual expenditure
was found by multiplying estimated monthly expenditure by twelve. |
