Graph 84a - Hong Kongers with knowledge of
computers and those with knowledge of a Chinese input method by
economic activity or nonactivity. graphs 80a and 80b | graphs 81a and 81b | graphs 82a, 82b and 82c | graphs 83a, 83b, and 83c | graphs 84b, 84c, and 84d | graphs 85a and 85b | data collection (graphs) |
|
Note: Economically active in this
context includes employed, self-employed, and unemployed people. In
short, everyone in the labour force with knowledge of a Chinese input
method. One can assume that knowledge of a Chinese input method assumes
knowledge of computers. |

Graph 84c - Number of Hong Kongers
who know a Chinese input method divided by the number of those who are
familiar with computers by economic activity or nonactivity. graph 80a and 80b | graph 81a and 81b | graphs 82a, 82b and 82c | graphs 83a, 83b, and 83c | graphs 84a, 84b, and 84d | graphs 85a and 85b | data collection (graphs) |
Note 1: This graph was obtained by
dividing the value of each oranged-shaded bar in graph 84a by the value of its
corresponding gray-shaded bar. |
Note 2: The
underlying assumption here is that everyone who knows a Chinese input
method is also familiar with computers. |
Note 3: Economically active in this context includes employed, self-employed, and unemployed people. In short, everyone in the labour force with knowledge of a Chinese input method. |

knowledge of a Chinese input method by own economic or noneconomic
activity. graphs 80a and 80b | graphs 81a and 81b | graphs 82a, 82b and 82c | graphs 83a, 83b, and 83c | graphs 84a, 84b, and 84c | graphs 85a and 85b | data collection (graphs) |

Note 1: Each column represents the
proportion of all Hong Kongers who are both familiar with a Chinese
input method and belong to the cohort indicated. By way of example, if
you are a Hong Kong student, there is close to a 90% chance that you
are familiar with a Chinese input method. Alternatively, if you are
actively employed. or part of Hong Kong's labor force looking for
employment, then the odds are more than one in two that you have
knowledge of a Chinese input method. |
Note 2: Economically active in this context includes employed, self-employed, and unemployed people. In short, everyone in the labour force with knowledge of a Chinese input method. |
